Sheesh, if I'd waited any longer, I'd have rolled over a YEAR without having said anything and not even realized it. Sigh...

Drawing status: Yes, I know I had a bunch of ideas I'd written about in my last entry. Yes, I also realize about... NONE of them ever happened. Due in part to my own laziness and trying to understand said laziness. I've concluded that since I've been out of school, I have not once challenged myself to draw something, ANYthing, to specific parameters or withing a set amount of time.

I.E. I seriously need anybody out there's help. I need ideas, and I need deadlines. (ex. Draw this by next Sunday, draw that in an hour, etc. so on and so forth). I know I can do that for myself, but I'd really... (meep) like to get back into doing art FOR people. Most of my stuff is strictly for myself. And I have characters I know I would adore seeing other people's interpretations of. Sadly, my contact list is... quite threadbare and barren, so I suppose I need to up my portfolio a tad (heck, if I can even call it that. It's not even a portfolio, just a mishmash of stuff. XD) before garnering people's interest. Which is why I'm asking for ideas and deadlines. Ideas and deadlines = art = people seeing more of what I do = potential interest in trades, commissions, etc. Or at least I THINK that's how the flowchart goes, I'm a little bit rusty.

That said, I'm open for ideas and timelines. What would YOU, the passerby, want to see a no-name draw, and when would you like to see it by?

Advertising Myself: That said, there are at least two of you out there who have expressed interest in trading for badges for conventions. Don't fret, I have them in my head, but I need to contact you guys to see what you want (will it be up to me? looking for a specific pose/expression/etc.?). I would open myself up to badge commissions, as I know I have the ability and talent for it (what? Did Speck just say she KNEW she had talent? Wait, is the world ending? XD), but I once again need to get my stuff out there for people to see to judge whether or not I'd be a worthy person to commission. I mean I like to THINK I am, but that doesn't mean I AM am, know what I mean?

Personal: Well, whew. Past few months have been... stressful. Drama at work has increased tenfold between second and third shift for my team for... whatever reason (mainly being the high-school mentality that half the people there cling on to), and such drama led me to a slight nervous breakdown, resulting in a two-day vacation binge. Which totally cleared the air, gave me time to think and relax, and led me to believe and understand that what these people have to say and think means absolutely nothing. Just a load of hot air and hormones. So since those two days off, I've been pretty happy... if people are intentionally snippy to me looking for a hostile reaction, I just giggle and go about my business. Because, seriously, if you're constantly looking to cause emotional duress in a work environment, you seriously aren't worth my time at all. Sorry.

And preparing for Anthrocon on the side. AIEEEEEE I so essited. XD All I have left to do is preregister and... yeah. I get to meet all those people and rub elbows and... yes I am incredibly introverted and shy but for whatever reason this just thrills me. That and I love travel... sure I get stressed out and anxious out the behind but it's always so worth it. XD

And that's about it for me... now back to inspecting new art supplies and doodling. Wheeeee!...
